5 Night / 6 Day Flying Visit: Palaces and Forests
Day 1: Fly directly to Bangalore. Its new international airport has direct connections to many international destinations.
Day 2-5: Select itinerary to include Bangalore, Mysore, the Wildlife Centres at Bandipur or Nagahole, and Wayanad rainforest area.
Bangalore, the modern IT capital of India, also known as the Garden City because of its many open spaces. This cosmopolitan and cultured capital of Karnataka State offers every facility for its home grown IT millionaires and visitors. Mysore is the ancient capital of Mysore State, dominated by its huge exotic Maharaja's Palace. The ancient Chamundi Temple on a hill overlooking the city, and is particularly beautiful at sunset. Nearby Srirangapatanam fort has the remains of Tipu Sultan’s triple walled fort, where the British defeated him in 1799, and found the famous Tippu’s Tiger. An extra night in Mysore allows you to visit the markets, local silk outlets or spend a whole day in Srirangapatanam.
The wildlife sanctuaries of Bandipur and Nagahole, have elephants, and tigers. Often the herds of animals are found upon the road itself. The time spent in the wildlife sanctuaries depends upon the interests of the visitors. A night in the sanctuary at Bandipur or Nagahole can be followed by an early morning or evening jeep ride to look at the animals, or an escorted trek with an experienced forest guide. The area round Wayanad is virgin rainforest, with a higher rainfall than the Amazon. It has a tropical mixture of trees and plants, and wildlife, birds and butterflies abound.
Day 6: Onward or return journey.

The itinerary chosen will depend upon arrival and departure times, the interests of the visitors, and the journey times. The minimum journey times are;
Bangalore to Mysore 3 hours,
Mysore to Bandipur or Nagahole 2 hours,
Bandipur to Wayanad 2 hours,
