Sri Lanka Weather / Climate
Sri Lanka lies a few degrees North of the equator, and has a tropical climate. It has little variation in temperatures, with the maximum from 30 to 32 degrees throughout the year, except where the mountains give lower temperatures. Rainfall is low in January and February. The Summer monsoon sweeps in from the South West to give this coast rain in April to June, while the retreating monsoon gives the North East coast more rain in October and November.
